North London side Arsenal are keen to have the signature of their West London counterpart Chelsea forgotten left full-back Emerson Palmieri in the coming winter transfer window.
Gunners boss Unai Emery is desperate to have a new defender at the club so as to reduce the number of goals his side ship in when the second stanza of the season begins.
The Italy international might just be the best option for the Spanish boss with Emerson Palmieri also keen on leaving the Stamford Bridge in search of regular playing time.
Suggestions are that the former Paris Saint Germain boss will make every effort to have him in the winter window having been hinted of Emerson Palmieri’s availability.
However, the Italy international has got a price tag of about £25m and has a deal with the West Londoners until 2022 having joined Chelsea from Italian outfit AS Roma for a fee of £18 million.
Meanwhile, there are suggestions that his price could increase because of the rapid progress he has had as well as being invited to the Italian national team to add to his profile.
There are indications that Emerson Palmieri would be released knowing that he is not in the plans of manager Maurizio Sarri.
