Former Man United Manager Impressed With Liverpool’s Talented Transfer Target

According to the editor of the popular Kicker Magazine, Manchester United former manager Sir Alex Ferguson has been impressed with the performances of Liverpool’s transfer target Julian Brandt. Jorg Jakob claimed that he has spoken with the former boss.

In the past January winter transfer window, Julian Brandt was heavily linked with a move to the Anfield club. It was even rumoured that the Bayer Leverkusen midfielder is one of Jurgen Klopp’s priority targets ahead of the fast-approaching summer.

Jorg speaking on the Liverpool Echo’s Anfield Extra podcast, is of the opinion that Brandt would be a perfect fit for the Reds, while revealing a conversation he had with Sir Ferguson earlier this season.

Kicker Magazine’s Editor: Sir Alex Ferguson Was Impressed With Brandt

Jakob revealed that he talked to Sir Alex in November after the former Man United boss has seen Brandt in the Champions League.

He stated that the legend was very impressed, insisting that he was right because Brandt is one of the best and finest talents in German football.

The editor, even though not yet sure if the Liverpool move will happen, already feels the move will make complete sense.

Well, Brandt’s club – Leverkusen, have a new manager and as things stands, won’t qualify for Europe. Liverpool on their part, currently fourth on the premier league table, are likely to win a Champions League ticket for next season. So, that might prompt both Julian and his agent to come over, especially if the player trust the boss Jurgen Klopp.
