This remains another opportunity for the North London outfit Arsenal to have their long-term target Juanfran at the club.
It is reported that Juanfran has already played his last game for the Spanish La Liga outfit Atletico Madrid as he would be leaving as a free player.
Reports in March had claimed that Juanfran agreed to extend his contract at the Spanish capital for another year on the condition that he would be handed 25 starting appearances in the league but that did not happen eventually.
Juanfran only saw 22 appearances which did not meet the condition for him to have another year stay at the club. He will, therefore, be leaving as a free player.
Having refused an approach by the North London outfit earlier on, Arsenal could return to lure the player as he would be a free player in the summer transfer window.
Arsenal have got the big need of a right Fullback ahead of the coming season with Hector Bellerin and Stephan, all looking inconsistent in their performance in the course of the just concluded season.
There is no doubt that securing the signature of Juanfran, the North London outfit would have made a major step in solving their defensive crisis for the coming season.
