Man United Target Wants Summer Move Following Arrival Of Strong Midfielder

Barcelona midfielder Sergi Roberto is reportedly considering his future at the Camp Nou following the arrival of Paulinho.

The former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder made a surprise move to Barca from Chinese side Guanzghou Evergrande following his poor outing in the Premier League.

Prior to the transfer move, Roberto has been linked with a move to the Premier League with reports that Manchester United are leading the race to sign the midfielder as Jose Mourinho plans to sign a right-back who can also act as cover in the midfield next season.

United were said to have moved ahead of their rivals, Chelsea who are also interested in signing the Spaniard with reports that Antonio Conte has told the club to consider the young midfielder as they look to add more firepower before the end of the current transfer window.

Reports in Spanish outlet Sport have it that Roberto is now considering his future at the Camp Nou following the arrival of Paulinho, which could see him fall further down the pecking order under Ernesto Valverde.

The presence of Nelson Semedo at the right-back position could also signal the end of Roberto’s stay at his boyhood and a move to the Premier League could be in the offing.
