New interim Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has described the pattern of play and tactics under his predecessor Jose Mourinho as ‘stupid’.

The Portuguese boss was sacked as United manager in December 2018 for failing to guide his side into producing results and was immediately replaced by the former United player.

Since taking over as United boss, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has recorded six wins in six games which have helped United to return back to their feet as well as having brighter hope of a Champions League qualification.

Under the former Chelsea manager, a defensive approach was adopted with some of the players having to openly criticize the Mourinho for his antics.

It did not end with the players as club legends and pundits accused the Portuguese boss of playing a different style, different from what the club is known for.

However, Mourinho refused and insisted that the best way for the team and the club was to be more defensive minded but apparently, it did not work out for him.

It has been attack and attack since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took over and that has produced more result than even anticipated.

When asked, he claimed that the club is known for attacking and not for the “stupid square and back passes”
