We wanted to win but… Unai Emery

Arsenal manager Unai Emery has stated that he wanted to win the game against Liverpool on Saturday at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal continue their unbeaten run but they have the second lost of two points in consecutive Premier League games with the first played 2-2 against Crystal Palace.

The Spanish boss stated that he is would have love to win the game having seen his side pulled a satisfactory display with some display of good tactics and energy.

He however, admits that Liverpool remain a good test for his side but wanted to win all three points to keep the fight for the title on.

Meanwhile, the Gunners continue their unbeaten rub with 14 games without seeing a defeat while Liverpool have similar story to tell as they see all games in the Premier League without a defeat.

The North London club will wait until next game to be able to showcase their strength after their 2-2 draw in the last Premier League game.

Liverpool were expected to pull out a win against the Gunners team knowing their strength and the nature of the attack which is seen as unstoppable.

A defeat for Arsenal would have reduced their chances of Champions League football next season.
