According to reports in London today, Premier League heavyweight Arsenal are ready to fight off local rivals Tottenham Hotspur for Watford playmaker Richarlison.
The Brazilian wonderkid has been in brilliant form since his coming to the English Premier League and has caught the attention of a number of suitors with some mind-blowing performances for Watford.
Brazil international Richarlison was brought in from Brazilian club Fluminense for a transfer fee in the region of about £11.5 million last summer and has since been a major revelation, taking the English top flight league by storm.
Now though, as reported by top British tabloid the Daily Star, top European side are sniffing around the talented Brazilian forward and both Premier League heavyweights Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspurs are interested in luring the starlet to North London.
Arsene Wenger’s side will need to seek a like-for-like replacement for Chile international forward Alexis Sanchez’s inevitable exit and if the British Publication is to be believed, the young forward has been noted as a more than perfect option to replace the former Barcelona forward at the Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners have been strongly linked with a couple of creative players recently but look to prefer Richarlison, who keeps impressing in Marco Silva’s Watford team.
