Mourinho, an Ideal Candidate For Inter Job – Club Legend

Former Inter Milan player Luigi Simoni believes that Jose Mourinho is the right man to bring unity to the club’s dressing room after the recent situation involving Mauro Icardi.

The Inter Milan legend told FCInterNews that the former Chelsea manager is the best candidate for the managerial job at the club with the current Nerazzurri boss, Luciano Spalletti under pressure to perform.

Spalletti and Inter Milan have had to deal with Argentine international Icardi after he was stripped off his duties as the Nerazzurri skipper.

Inter Milan goalkeeper Samir Handanovic replaced Icardi as the new team captain shortly after his removal in February.

The former Barcelona and Sampdoria player didn’t play again until Wednesday when he made his return against Genoa.

Mauro Icardi was on target from the spot on the return to the team as he helped Inter Milan cement third spot on the league table with a 4-0 win over Genoa away from home.

Former Inter manager Simoni is adamant that Mourinho will bring peace and unity to the Inter Milan squad.

Jose Mourinho is not new to the Inter Milan job having managed them between 2008 and 2010.

He won the Italian Serie A title during his time at the club in addition to the 2010 Champions League title.
