North London giants Arsenal will not be wearing their usual red and white jersey on Thursday night when they play Swedish club Ostersunds in the UEFA Europa League.
Group winners
Having qualified from their group as winners before the end of the year, the Gunners started the knockout stage of the continental competition with a comfortable 3-0 victory over in Swedish outfit last week.
Although the Swedish side were wearing white at their home ground, Arsenal were not in their usual home shirt and had to put on their dark grey third Jersey for the win.
Same scenario
The same scenario will repeat itself once again on Thursday night at the Emirates Stadium even though Arsenal are playing at home.
Arsene Wenger’s team will not be permitted to wear their home kit as competition organizers UEFA chooses the shirt when there is a possible clash.
The Swedish outfit will once again put on their white away jersey as they attempt to overturn the disappointing first leg result, meaning, Arsenal will have to wear their blue away Jersey at the Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners have not had the best of results in their blue jersey this campaign, notably the 4-0 thrashing by Merseyside giants Liverpool in August.
