Liverpool Can Now Pay ‘Just’ £52M To Bring Star Player To Anfield

RB Leipzig thrashed Hertha Berlin 6-2 for their final Bundesliga game of the season. Unfortunately, they won’t be playing in the Champions League next season despite signing up the campaign impressively.

But it’s good news for Liverpool. The Anfield club can now pay a fee in the region of £52.75 million to complete a deal for the African star, instead of something more.

Liverpool will pay around £52.75million for Naby Keita after RB Leipzig qualified for the Europa League.

Many Liverpool fans were only aware that an agreement was made with the German side for the player’s signature last summer. However, many of us are not aware that the fee was hooked on their finishing position.

The talented player would have come for £48 Million if Leipzig has finished the title below the seventh spot. But it would have been as high as £59 Million if they had grabbed a Champions League ticket for next season.

But since the German club finished the season in the sixth spot of the table (an Europa League spot), then it means Liverpool will pay £52.75million for Keita.

Naby will officially become a red on the first day of July.
