Good News – Diego Costa Is Staying At Stamford Bridge!

As things stand now, it appears Chelsea star player Diego Costa will remain at Stamford Bridge until next year after his proposed loan move to Turkish side Fenerbahce failed.

It was said that Fenerbahce at some point were confident that they were close to agreeing on a deal to take the Spanish striker on loan for this season. However, things couldn’t go as planned and everything about the talks have been abandoned, with the Turkish transfer window closing this evening.

There were also speculations that the Turkish heavyweights will be trying to bring in Tottenham’s Vincent Janssen before the close of their transfer window.

Diego has fallen out of favour with Chelsea manager Antonio Conte despite playing a very big role in the Italian’s ability to win the premier league title in his first season at Stamford Bridge and in England.

Costa had been desperate to seal a move away from Chelsea and he is keen on returning to his former Spanish club Atletico Madrid, but the La Liga club are still serving a transfer ban that will only expire next January.

He will now remain at Chelsea until January when he can finally make his desired move back to Spain. And even though he wasn’t registered in Chelsea’s Champions League squad for the term, he is eligible to play for Chelsea in the English top flight.

So, Chelsea fans can expect to see the talented striker in action before he finally leave for good.
