Manchester United have confirmed the signature of new goalkeeper Paul Woolston after having his name and profile on the official website of the club.
Paul Woolston came to the Old Trafford for a trial and seems to have impressed with a deal already in place to have him join the youth team setup with the hope that he can have a good future and promote to the first team.
With the future of Spanish goalkeeper David De Gea already in doubt, Paul Woolston could be asked to step in that role if he impresses at the youth level before the Red Devils can be able to secure a good goalkeeper.
De Gea is reportedly unhappy at the club and has lost faith in manager Jose Mourinho which is a major reason why he has decided not to extend his stay at the club despite pleas from the manager and the board.
Following his display against Young Boys in the Champions League, the Portuguese boss who is unconcerned about his sour relationship with the former Atletico Madrid keeper urged the club to do all it takes to keep De Gea at the club.
The Red Devils are expected to keep De Gea for another year by activating a clause in his contract but that will mean they will lose him for free without cashing on him.
