It’s April already, and April will be a very busy month for Manchester United – with nine all-important games to play.
Unfortunately, Manchester United’s manager Jose Mourinho is having headaches due to some his players being injured as he looks set to clash with Sunderland.
Spanish star Juan Mata is already sidelined after undergoing a groin surgery. Mata has been so important in Mourinho’s squad this season, and it is obvious he will be greatly missed. But many fans wonders if he can be back and still feature for his side before this season ends.
As for English defender Chris Smalling, since getting injured while on international duty, no official date has been fixed for his return. The same goes for his compatriot Phil Jones.
However, the duo of Eric Bailly and Marcos Rojo are expected to maintain being rocksolid at the back.
Manchester United all-time-goal-scorer Wayne Rooney was simply said to be unavailable for the Sunderland game by the manager. No mention of any injury, and no mention of anything.
Ashley Young was injured in the midweek game against Everton, and so is unlikely to be available for the away game. And Valencia looks set to make a strong return back into the starting XI.
Paul Pogba came off the bench at halftime against Everton, and is expected to be back in action from the start against Sunderland. Although, we shouldn’t be too sure yet, as Mourinho might choose to rest him for the Anderlecht game.
