David Luiz reveals why Chelsea couldn’t find the back of the net against West Ham

Chelsea have dropped a point this season for the first time all thanks to West Ham.

The Hammers had held Chelsea down with a powerful defensive line as it looks as if all West Ham players turn to defenders yesterday.

However, Chelsea was lucky enough to escape a total defeat especially when West Ham player  Andriy Yarmolenko made a mistake in what would have been a goal for the Hammers.

Brazil international and Chelsea center back, David Luiz in a post-match statement revealed why the game ended goalless for the Blues.

David Luiz disclosed that the Blues played a very slow ball against West Ham, claiming they were not as fantastic as they didn’t create a lot of spaces.

Luiz affirmed that the Blues could have score goals if they were at their highest level.

The Brazil star also made it known that West Ham played a defensive game against them but it was the duty of the Blues players to break past the defense and find a means to score.

David Luiz is however correct about Chelsea being slow, this may be perhaps as a result of the lack of rest having played PAOK in Greece two days before playing West Ham.
