Chelsea Brilliant Target Agrees Deal To Join Serie A Giants

Atalanta midfielder Franck Kessie has reportedly agreed a deal to join Roma next summer.

The Ivorian midfielder has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League due to his impressive form with Atalanta in the Serie A, helping them to the sixth position in the League.

Chelsea were leading in the pursuit of the 22-year-old as Antonio Conte is regarded as a keen admirer of the midfielder and views him as potential cover for his midfield.

Reports in Corriere dello Sport claim that Roma have sealed a deal worth £20million plus add-ons that will see Kessie move to the club next summer.

Manchester United were also believed to be vying for his signature but if the new reports are anything to go by the Ivorian midfielder will not be coming to England anytim soon.

In related news, West Brom boss Tony Pulis has revealed he scouted Chelsea’s younsgters Nathaniel Chalobah, Ruben Loftus-Cheek anmd Kurt Zouma during their cup win over Brentford.

He said: ‘I was at Chelsea to look at players Brentford had mentioned to me,

‘I was also looking at Chelsea’s young players, Chalobah, Loftus-Cheek and Zouma.’

Meanwhile Antonio Conte had earlier admitted some young players might leave the Stamford Bridge on loan while other will remain for the rest of the campaign.
