Good news as Liverpool forward will not hand in transfer request

Philippe Coutinho

As per the Mirror, Barcelona target, Philippe Coutinho will not submit a transfer request at Liverpool to try and push a transfer away to the Catalan club.

Since Neymar’s transfer away from Barcelona to Paris Saint Germain, the Liverpool man has been heavily linked with a transfer to Barcelona as a replacement for his fellow Brazilian Neymar Jr.

However, with a recent citation from Jurgen Klopp saying that Coutinho will not be sold, and he also said that the player won’t submit a transfer request, Barcelona’s hopes are getting slimmer and slimmer by the day.

The Reds have turned down two offers from Barcelona for the attacking midfielder, with one of them being worth a whopping £90m, which, if accepted, would see the Reds make a £80m profit on the midfielder who joined for £10m from Serie A side Inter Milan.

Although an attacking midfielder, like many other footballers, would like a transfer to FC Barcelona, reports claim he would only move amicably, showing respect to the Reds and their fans.

If the Brazilian does move, although it seems unlikely at the moment, it could fund Liverpool’s transfer move for Virgil van Dijk from Southampton and RB Leipzig’s Naby Keita, who have both been strongly linked with a transfer to Anfield this summer transfer window.
