Liverpool Brazilian star player Philippe Coutinho has told his team-mates that they must forget about their recent unimpressive run of results and turn up against Chelsea when they meet at Anfield on Tuesday.
Klopp’s side would welcome the EPL table leaders to Merseyside on the back of three home defeats in a row, with only a win in eight games in all competitions.
Though the Reds have been kicked out of two cup competitions in less than a week, it is believed that they could get their season back on track if they can beat Chelsea.
The blues on their part have been beaten just once since October 26. And now, Coutinho confessed that he and his team-mates have to rally.
He thinks it is very important that his team should lift themselves for Chelsea, as he considers their big clash against Chelsea a ‘straight away’ opportunity to bounce back.
‘We have [a] few days to prepare everything, and to go again [and] that is what we must do now.’ he said.
Last week, the Samba star, signed a new five-year deal at the Anfield club and stated that he is not worried by his side’s current form.
Till late last year, the Reds were being tipped as title contenders this season due to their impressive performances that placed them firmly at the table top. But unfortunately recently, they’ve lost their form. But Coutinho says he has no regrets committing himself to the club as he thinks more about his future with the club.
He also expressed that he believe they can win titles under manager Jurgen Klopp as they are confident it will happen.
