“Time To Say Goodbye” – Some Liverpool Fans Blast Player For His Latest Display

“Time To Say Goodbye” – Some Liverpool Fans Blast Joel Matip For His Latest Display.

Liverpool lost 3-1 to Borussia Dortmund in their latest pre-season friendly game in the United States of America, and the fans were not too delighted with their performance.

One player at the centre of it all is Joel Matip, The 22.5m rated central defender picked up another injury during the clash, which got many of the fans talking on Twitter.

The Cameroonian defender was substituted in the first half of the game and will be out of action for few days.

Everyone thought Joel will help solve the club’s defensive problems when he moved to Anfield in 2016 from German side Schalke.

The African star spent seven years with the Bundesliga club and was able to attract the attention of the management at Anfield, prompting them to sign him as a free man that year.

However, Matip hasn’t been making the fans happy and he had a good chance to prove his worth this summer before Lovren return to the fold – but he unfortunately got himself injured during the pre-season game.

Many fans were highly disappointed with his latest condition, and they took to Twitter to vent their thoughts.

Someone even said ‘time to say goodbye’, suggesting to the management to sell the African star this summer.
