Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata has looked to show that he is moving closer to a return to active football for the Blues by uploading a positive update on the internet on Saturday.
Morata unfit for West Brom clash
The Spanish forward has been sidelined for the last few matches with a back damage and manager Antonio Conte said at the Weekend that the striker would not be ready to play for the side when they play host to West Brom at the Bridge on Monday evening.
But it does look like the summer signing is closing in on getting back to football action for Chelsea and he looked to be in a fantastic shape and spirits after a positive training routine at Cobham training ground on Saturday.
Excited Morata
Alvaro Morata posted the photo above of himself with former Torino defender Davide Zappacosta on his return from Cobham on his Instagram page with the caption: “Training session done! Going back home!”
The striker has made a good enough start at Stamford Bridge after his switch from the La Liga giant in the summer.
He has netted 10 goals and provided four assists in the League for Antonio Conte’s men so far this term.
The former Juventus striker will be hoping to play for Chelsea when they take on Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League later in February.
