Renowned Journalist: Former Blues Hitman Eyeing Shock Return To Chelsea

Everton striker Romelu Lukaku wants to return to Chelsea in the future, according to Belgian journalist Kristof Terreur.

The former Blues striker has been impressive for Everton since his move from the Stamford Bridge after falling out of favour under Jose Mourinho during the Portuguese boss time at Chelsea.

Following speculations that Lukaku wants to move from the Goodison Park in a bid to play at the highest level. Terreur has admitted the striker could be eyeing a move back to the club.

“Lukaku wants the move, he wants to play Champions League football – maybe Europa League football,” he told Betway.

“I don’t think they will put in a release clause [in his contract], they will make a gentlemen’s agreement that if there’s a £60m bid from Chelsea for instance, he’s still dreaming of Chelsea. Then Everton might allow him to go.

However, the current form of Diego Costa may yet keep the Belgian striker out of the squad if the Spaniard does not leave the club following his row with Antonio Conte over his fitness, and has been left out of the team that play defending champions, Leicester City on Saturday at the King Power stadium.

Lukaku’s compatriot, Michy Batshuayi is currently faced with the same problem of not given the chance to show what he was capable of for the Blues and he might also be set for anm exit in order to get regular football.
