Hudson Odoi and Giroud shine as Chelsea thrashes POAK.
Kepa Arrizabalaga
If there was a game Chelsea didn’t need a goalkeeper it was this one as the safe hands have absolutely nothing to do throughout the entire encounter. All he could do was stand and watch throughout the 90 minutes of play.
Davide Zappacosta
Was a rock defensively, however, couldn’t deliver on his offensive runs. Crosses along the floor didn’t find their target or the ones in the air were a little long or short.
Gary Cahill
No real threat as he was hardly tested at the back, but he did deal with POAK strikers anytime they came calling.
Andreas Christensen
Some nice balls from the back, because he wasn’t really tested defensively at all.
Emerson Palmieri
Looked eager to make an impression at left-back and he certainly did that with good runs down the flank and putting in dangerous crosses into the six-yard box.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek
Some brilliant play from the Englishman at times, he also had two fantastic shots well saved by the PAOK keeper and he was a real menace throughout the encounter. A really good display.
Ross Barkley
Playing in N’Golo Kante’s role on the right. He certainly did things neat and tidy and looked to get forward as well, which he could do more as PAOK were down to ten men for most of the game.
Callum Hudson-Odoi
It was a good first start for the player who definitely was hoping on making an impression. He also got his first goal in the Chelsea senior side with a really neat finish into the bottom corner, with another lovely assist Alvaro Morata with a perfect cross.
Pedro
Had a good game in all, however, he was very Lively throughout the first half and he did link up Fabregas excellently a few times.
Olivier Giroud
Two goals from the man many have tagged as a misfiring striker. He wads strong when holding the ball up and now he has netted in five games for club and country. Certainly worth a shout to be the starting Premier League striker against Fulham and he proved his worth tonight.
