France international striker Olivier Giroud has apparently gone back to Arsenal after sustaining a thigh problem while away with France on international duty.
Olivier Giroud reportedly sustained a thigh injury while warming up for his country’s friendly match against Wales on Friday night. However, FIFA award recipient took some pain relief and did not just played but scored for France second goal.
The injury means the forward would miss Les Blues game against World Champion Germany on Tuesday night, which, as per the Daily Mail, is the issue.
The Arsenal forward has allegedly returned to the Emirates to get treated and could even miss the first North London Derby of the season on November 18.
The forward is yet to start a game in the English Premier League so far this campaign so it’s unlikely that the striker would have gotten the nod for the match at the Emirates Stadium. However, the striker is a good option to have on the substitute bench, scores goals in big matches and has scored twice against Tottenham Hotspurs.
The France striker has not sustained any injury for almost 12 months when he was sidelined for only eight days with a thigh injury.
Arsenal fans will be hoping their super-sub won’t be sidelined for too long.
