Report- Mourinho set to make move for Arsenal super star,He could leave club if contract talks stall

Reports claim that Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is prepared to make a shock move for Arsenal star Mesut Ozil.

According to the Sun, the German world cup winner is presently under contract with the North London club till 2018 but is yet to commit his future to the club as discussions are still going on over a new contract and United are ready to swoop in and try to make a deal for the player.

Currently on 140,000 pounds a week, Ozil is Arsenal’s highest earner and it is believed that with the new deal he is hoping to get more than the 20,000 pounds pay increase Arsenal have already presented him.

Jose Mourinho has managed Ozil in the past and this was during their time at Real Madrid and both won the Spanish La Liga in 2012.

Manchester United realized that a deal to bring Ozil from the Emirates will be hard to achieve in January but are prepared to go in search of his signature if no deal is reached between Ozil and Arsenal by the summer.

It is believed that Ozil is holding out for 200,000 pounds a week wage and though he seems happy at Arsenal and he is in a terrific form, Arsenal may have to meet his demands to prevent him from seeking other options including joining his former boss at Manchester United.

Ozil could really be tempted with a move to Old Trafford as reports claim that he could be offered about 250,000 pounds a week which is much more than what he is seeking to earn at Arsenal especially if players like Bastian Schweinsteiger with huge wages are no more at the club next summer.
