According to reports, Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho wants to agree on a swap move with former Premier League champions Chelsea involving French attacker Anthony Martial and Brazil winger Willian.
Manager losing faith in youngster
As reported by the Daily Mirror, the Man Utd manager is losing faith in Anthony Martial after what seems like a lack of improvement and would love to offload him to Chelsea if the Blues can offer £40million and Brazil international Willian, whom Jose Mourinho values at about £40m also.
Many Manchester United supporters will question the decision of allowing such a brilliant young talent to leave for a rival team only to bring in an ageing player.
Jose wants Chelsea star in part-exchange
While the Chelsea winger has been a brilliant performer for Antonio Conte’s team and is a player Jose Mourinho knows pretty well, it looks a short-termist switch if it happens.
However, that may not be such a bad move as the Red Devils are under huge pressure to win big honours before long as they try to return to their best after a tough few seasons.
The Portuguese tactician had a lot of gladness in raiding his former side Chelsea for Serbian international midfielder Nemanja Matic last summer transfer window, it could be that working alongside his ex-players is the best way forward for Mourinho at Old Trafford.
