Painful reason why Arsenal failed to sign Christopher Nkunku

A move was made by the English Premier League outfit Arsenal to secure the signature of French Ligue 1 outfit Paris Saint Germain youngster Christopher Nkunku in the just-concluded winter transfer window.

It was expected that a transfer deadline day deal would be sealed for the star player but the fans waited for an announcement in vain.

The suggestion was that the North London outfit failed to secure a deal for Christopher Nkunku is because of their inability to secure funds to have him join on a permanent basis instead of an approach for a loan.

Latest report according to BBC Sport man David Ornstein has now revealed that the deal failed to work through because of the sour relationship between PSG manager Thomas Tuchel and Arsenal head of recruitment Sven Mislintat.

David Ornstein gave the hint that the Gunners side would have been able to secure a deal for Christopher Nkunku on loan but it was frustrated by the PSG boss because of his past with the Arsenal chief.

However, the BBC sport man made it clear that Christopher Nkunku is now left with no choice than to remain at the club and agree on a new deal with the French giants.
