The strange secret between Arsenal, United over Wenger’s replacement revealed

Emerging reports reveal that there was an attempt to have former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger replaced by one of Manchester United’s assistant coach Rui Farai.

The French manager parted ways with the North London outfit at the end of last season and was immediately replaced by Spanish boss Unai Emery.

The French manager has since been jobless without a job but there was a plan to have him replaced by one of United’s coaching staff who was on the long list of potential replacements and was also favored if reports are to be believed.

Rui Farai, who is no longer at the Old Trafford resigned as manager Jose Mourinho’s assistant and he is reported to have had a number of offers, according to Duncan Castles of the Transfer Window Podcast.

Although Rui Farai has picked a job with Qatari club Al-Duhail, he is reported to have been on the long wish list of the Gunners team as well as other clubs in Portugal, France, and England.

Rui Farai was later snubbed and the former PSG boss was asked to take over at the Emirate Stadium where he has had a good start so far and holding the hope of returning the club back to the Champions League.
