Mourinho Wants Man United To Complete Deal For Nemaja Matic This Weekend

Chelsea star player Nemanja Matic has emerged as a target for Manchester United this summer and a deal is understood to be close by.

In a new development, there are reports that Man United boss Jose Mourinho wants the management to complete the signing of the Serbian star by Sunday.

The midfielder is a top transfer target for Jose with the Portuguese manager eager to reunite with the player at Old Trafford.

Both of them enjoyed lots of success while working together at Chelsea and are still on good terms despite the unpleasant end to Mourinho’s Chelsea career.

It is understood that Man United have been in negotiations with the premier league champions for Nemanja for almost six weeks and talks with Real Madrid over Alvaro Morata is not yet completed

The Guardian reported that Mourinho wants both Matic and Morata at Old Trafford by Sunday in time for his side’s departure for America.

The red devils are flying to Los Angeles at the start of next week with their first pre-season game scheduled for Saturday, July 15.

Manchester United will take on  La Galaxy in the first game of the pre-season tour in the US and Jose wants more signings made before pre-season gets underway.

La Liga champions Real Madrid are understood to be demanding almost £80million for Morata, a fee which the Old Trafford club are so not willing to meet.

Matic on the other hand is expected to come cheaper and will be free to leave Chelsea when the Stamford Bridge club seal the signing of Monaco’s Tiemoue Bakayoko.
