Club legend fears Ballon d’Or nominee will leave Chelsea for Real Madrid

Chelsea legend Michael Essien fears that club star Eden Hazard could leave Stamford Bridge for Real Madrid.

According to goal Michael Essien urged Chelsea to tie Eden Hazard down to a new lon-term contract quickly.

Essien stated in the report that Hazard could go to La Liga giant Real Madrid to win the Ballon d’Or easily.

The Belgium international forward finished 19th in the year 2017 Ballon d’Or ranking but it is a valid point from the African that the Belgian is likely to be interested in the number one spot in the nearest future.

With Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi now into their thirties and ageing, it is unlikely they will maintain their good run in world football after ten seasons of an impressive duopoly.

Eden Hazard is surely one of the top talents in football World who many will turn to to give an answer to C. Ronaldo and L. Messi’s age. Alongside top stars like Neymar Jr, Eden Hazard has been tipped by man to take over from Messi and Ronaldo.

With Eden Hazard wanting to further his career, the former Chelsea midfielder‘s fears could become a reality. Perhaps, Chelsea boss Antonio Conte needs to listen to the Club legend’s call in asking Chelsea board to tie the Belgian down to a new deal soonest.
