AC Milan midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko will leave the club this summer after his loan spell with the Italian Serie A giants.

This is according to the publication from trusted Italian news outlet Calciomercato which claimed that the Rossoneri won’t take up the option of making his loan deal a permanent one.

Bakayoko joined AC Milan from Premier League giants Chelsea on a season-long loan deal at the start of this season with the option to sign him permanently for £35m.

The 24-year-old will now return to Chelsea after his loan spell expires next month after AC Milan decided against his permanent transfer.

AC Milan are not willing to pay the £35m transfer fee in his loan contract.

French midfielder Bakayoko has made 30 appearances for AC Milan in the league this season as the Italian giants battle to return to Champions League football next season.

AC Milan are in fifth position at the moment and just one point adrift of city rivals Inter Milan in fourth place on the Italian Serie A table.

Bakayoko and AC Milan travel to take on SPAL in their final game of the season later this week while Inter Milan face relegation threatened side Empoli at home in their last game of the season on Saturday.
