Superstar duo not leaving in January insists Arsenal manager

Arsenal are set to reject a renewed interest in Superstar duo of Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez in the New year and keep the unsettled duo at least until the current season ends, according to Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger.

Ozil and Sanchez will be available for free come the end of the ongoing 2017-18 season, but the North Londoners want to keep the attacking duo and boost their Premier League and Champions League aspirations.

Premier League rivals Manchester City came very close to securing the signature of Alexis Sanchez on transfer deadline day in the month of August before the transfer collapsed, while German playmaker Ozil has been linked with a switch to Catalan side FC Barcelona in January. But manager Arsene Wenger is adamant the superstar duo pair will remain at the Emirates.

Pep Guardiola’s side have been strongly linked with a switch for Alexis Sanchez in the winter transfer window as the former Bayern Munich boss aims to further strengthen his already star-studded attack which has already contributed 34 goals in the English Premier League this campaign.

British publication The Sun understands the Gunners are demanding £30million from the Citizen’s for a switch to be sealed this winter.

Meanwhile, Catalan side FC Barcelona have reportedly identified Germany international playmaker as the less-expensive alternative to Brazilian Philippe Coutinho, who is proving difficult to buy away from Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool.
