Man United Trying To Snatch Chelsea Target By Offering £36M To Italian Club

The summer transfer window is almost here, and premier league champions Chelsea are set to participate actively ahead of next season.

Their Italian manager Antonio Conte is ready to bolster his squad ahead of life back in the Champions League and will attempt to defend the premier league title.

One of the players that are understood to be needed at Stamford Bridge next season is Inter Milan star Ivan Perisic.

However, reports in Italy reveals that the west London club is not the only premier league club interested in Perisic, but will compete with Manchester United for the player.

Sky Sports Italia is reporting that the Blues are interested in bringing Ivan to Stamford Bridge this summer and that Man United has also made an offer of £36M.

The Italian outlet, however, added that Inter Milan value the 28-year-old at a price of between £48m and £52m.

This season, the winger scored 10 goals and provided six assists in the Italian top flight, and his contract at the club will expire in 2020.

Chelsea won the Premier League title this term but could not get a domestic double after their 2-1 defeat to Arsenal in the FA Cup final last weekend at the Wembley Stadium.
