Liverpool target Borussia Dortmund midfielder Blaszczykowski

Liverpool could be poised to bring Poland star Jakub Blaszczykowski to Anfield, according to reports from Germany.

Borussia Dortmund v SSC Napoli - UEFA Champions League

The Pole played under Jurgen Klopp for six year at Borussia Dortmund, winning two Bundesliga titles and finishing as a runner-up in the Champions League final in 2013, but could be reunited with his former boss.

Blaszczykowski would also cost less than £6m as well, according to Bild . At 30 years of age and with a history of injuries, the winger certainly poses a risk signing for Liverpool but Klopp is reportedly keen to bring his experience to Anfield.

Jurgen Klopp is looking to overhaul his squad ahead of the coming season and is keen to bolster his ranks. Sadio Mane has already been brought in from Southampton as has Loris Karius from Mainz.

The 30-year-old winger Pole spent last season on-loan at Fiorentina, but with several players having left Westfalenstadion already this summer, the Bundesliga side may look to hold onto the Pole.

Dortmund are now expected to hold talks with the player in light of the speculation.

Speaking to Blid, the club’s sporting director Michael Zorc outlined said: “Kuba Blaszczykowski is a BVB player

“We’ll talk in the next few days about his future.”

Blaszczykowski joined Dortmund in 2007 from Polish side Wisla Krakow on a free transfer and has since made 197 appearances for the side.

He has also captained Poland and scored twice in their Euro 2016 campaign before they were eliminated at the last 16 stage on penalties by Portugal.

Dortmund have already lost a number of key players to the Premier League. Ilkay Gundogan moved to Manchester City in a deal reported to be worth £20m while Henrikh Mkhitaryan joined Manchester United for an undisclosed fee.
