Liverpool Lead €100m Race To Sign Goalscoring Midfielder

Liverpool are the front-runners in the race to sign highly rated Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes according to the latest reports emanating from the media in Portugal.

Bruno Fernandes is on the radar of several clubs in England after a stellar season for both club and country.

The 24-year-old midfielder is said to be attracting interest from the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool.

According to Correio da Manha, Liverpool are in pole position to sign Bruno Fernandes who has a release clause of €100m in his present contract with his club Sporting Lisbon.

Bruno Fernandes crowned a phenomenal season by playing a big part in the Portuguese team that won the UEFA Nations League on Sunday night via a 1-0 win over the Netherlands.

Valencia winger Goncalo Guedes scored the only goal of the game to give Portugal a 1-0 home win over their opponents as well as the inaugural UEFA Nations League title.

He had earlier won the Portuguese Cup with Sporting Lisbon via penalties over rivals FC Porto after both teams had played out a 2-2 draw.
