According to British media reports, Liverpool will look to seal a deal to land Nabil Fekir from Ligue 1 side Lyon in the next 10 days.
Liverpool yet to table an official bid
The Daily Mirror is claiming that Liverpool have not yet submitted an official bid to land the 24-year-old despite the rumour in recent days.
However, it is suggested in the same report that the Reds will now look to step up their efforts to try and sign Fekir in the coming days as the Ligue 1 star himself wants to get his future settled before the beginning of the FIFA World Cup in Russia on June 14.
The Reds have already unveiled their first summer signing after concluding a transfer deal to bring Brazilian international midfielder Fabinho to Anfield Stadium from AS Monaco.
Liverpool set to reinforce squad
It is now generally expected that the Merseysider’s will look to step up their summer recruitment activity drive as manager Jurgen Klopp looks to reinforce his team ahead of next campaign.
The same report states that contrary to some reports making the rounds, there has not yet been an official offer from the Champions League finalists for Fekir, who The French side value at about £50million.
Liverpool ended the campaign in disappointing style when they were defeated 3-1 by La Liga giants Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League final.
