The premier league title can still be won by Manchester United despite their unimpressive start to the season according to Michael Carrick nickname (Carrers). Manchester United has not really had a good start to the season and is currently placed sixth on the table eight points behind Liverpool.
Metro reports that Despite United’s poor start to the season, Carrick still believes United can still go on a run and have a chance to be champions.
The midfielder said ‘We still feel we’re well in touch. I know people are looking at it [the table] and saying we’re drifting and we’re not right at the top but we still feel there’s more to come and we’ve got a great chance of being up there. I just feel we’ve got the personalities and the personnel, the manager, the coaches and the players. We just need to start building the momentum really and now’s the time to do that.’
Manchester United’s title ambitions will be put to the test this weekend when they face rivals Arsenal. The gunners have been in good form this since losing their opening premier league match to Liverpool.
Despite having a 1-1 draw with North London rivals Tottenham last week, Arsenal will still arrive Old Trafford in buoyant mood and will be confident of going away with something.
Carrick will hope to be a part of the team that will play Arsenal. He was brought back into the team and did very well in the 3-1 victory over Swansea and will hope to start on Saturday.
