Klopp Wants To Sign Deulofeu For Liverpool

Barcelona are still in the race to sign Philippe Coutinho’s, and it appears the Brazilian himself has made up his mind to leave Anfield next year.

Should he leave Jurgen Klopp’s team, then the German boss must bring in a superb replacement.

A few days back, there were reports that Jurgen is interested in signing Sergi Roberto from Barcelona, and that the Spanish player has a release clause of €40 Million in his current contract at the club.

Currently, it was reiterated that the Liverpool boss is still interested in signing Sergi, but Barcelona are not willing to sell him.

It was however added that the Catalan giants won’t mind sending any of Arda Turan, Andre Gomez or Gerard Deulofeu to Anfield. But the report also claimed Klopp isn’t interested in Turan and Gomez, and suggested he could consider Gerard.

Deulofeu was re-signed by the La Liga club last summer and now has a contract meant to expire in 2019, with a release clause of €20 Million.

This season so far, he has scored just two goals with three assists in 16 appearances, and he mainly sit on the bench at the club – despite that Dembele is still out with injury.

Deulofeu is definitely not a good replacement for Coutinho and Liverpool should not sign him.
