According to reports, Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is interested in selling Henrikh Mkhitaryan to make room for Arsenal attacking midfielder Mesut Ozil next season.
The Daily Mirror states that United feels they could get close to the entire £30million they paid German Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund for Henrikh Mkhitaryan last campaign, despite the attacker not being a regular starter this season after a dip in form.
The Armenia international playmaker has had his moments at the Theatre of dreams, but got off to a rather poor start by barely kicking the ball and now finds himself out of the team once again.
Fans will undoubtedly question the tactician’s decision-making here, with the Red Devils lacking that kind of creativity that the Armenian brings in the recent loss to Manchester City.
It’s rather easy to imagine Miki, 28, could shine for most other elite clubs, and if he eventually move for only £30million many interested clubs will surely view that as a decent bargain.
Still, the Mirror suggest Manchester United would favour bring in Mesut Ozil on a free to fill that creative position in their squad, and the Germany international playmaker is arguably more experienced, tested and trusted at this level.
