What I did to get Ozil to his best – Emery

Arsenal boss, Unai Emery has revealed that he professionally push Arsenal Midfielder, Mesut Ozil to be a better player so as to give his best to the team.

He made this claim while speaking of his relationship with the German player.

The Arsenal boss noted that contrary to reports of a bust-up, he and Ozil have a good relationship both on and off the pitch.

Emery revealed that he enjoyed training with the player while others were on international break as the player is already retired from the German national team.

Ozil made the decision to stay away from international football following his allegation of racism against him from the German football association.

The midfielder was criticised for posing for photographs with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in the build-up to the World Cup, and was made the scapegoat for Germany’s poor performance at the World Cup.

With the international break, Ozil was able to spend time with Emery and made use of the opportunity to learn more of the Spaniard’s tactics and demands.

Emery stated that the player, who is working hard on daily basis, looks happy on the training ground.

Arsenal looks to bounce back from the break with the Newcastle on Saturday. A win for the Gunners will mean the club is bouncing back to winning ways.
