Arsenal, Man United to battle for Hertha Berlin star

A number of English Premier League sides are set to battle for the signature of Hertha Berlin star Arne Maier as he has been attracted to them.

The likes of Arsenal, Man United are believed to be leading in the race for the impressive midfielder with both teams already considering of making a bid for Arne Maier in January when the winter transfer window reopens.

Arne Maier has got a number of games under his belt in the German Bundesliga and has so far impressed to have gained the attraction which makes a move possible in coming weeks.

Valued at £15 million, Arne Maier has drawn comparisons with German legend Toni Kross because of their style and impact at a young age.

He could as well find his way into the German senior national team in Joachim Low list when next there will be a duty call.

However, with Arsenal and United already on for Arne Maier, the decision will be left to him to make as he will only give his signature to the club that will hand him playing time as well as help his development.

Suggestions are that the North London side are fit into the player’s wish and he could just have a switch to the Emirates Stadium.
