Chelsea Defender To Snub Inter Milan Interest

Chelsea defender Emerson Palmieri will snub the interest from Italian Serie A giants Inter Milan in favor of staying at Stamford Bridge.

Inter Milan are said to be interested in a return to Italy for the Brazilian-born Italian international left-back according to popular media outlet Goal.

It was revealed that Emerson is ready to stay at Chelsea beyond this summer.

The former AS Roma defender wanted to go back to Italy earlier in the season after struggling to get into the starting XI at Chelsea but that has changed in recent weeks.

Emerson played second fiddle to Spanish defender Marcos Alonso at the start of the season but he has been able to usurp the former Bolton Wanderers star as the first choice left-back at Chelsea.

He joined the West London giants at the start of last year from Italian Serie A club AS Roma.

Emerson has been the second choice left-back at the club since his transfer to Chelsea until recent weeks.

He started his 19th game of the season for Chelsea in all competitions when the Blues were forced to a 2-2 draw at home by Burnley.

The point ensured that Chelsea are in the top four places on the Premier League with three games left to go though some of their rivals like Arsenal and Manchester United have four games apiece.
