Sigurdsson Wants Everton Stay For Chelsea Loanee

Everton midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson has praised the impact of Toffees teammate Kurt Zouma at the club following his string of impressive displays for the Merseyside giants.

Icelandic international player Sigurdsson talked up the quality of Kurt Zouma in his latest interview via Goal.

Kurt Zouma is on a season-long loan deal at Everton from fellow Premier League club Chelsea.

The French center back signed for the Toffees on loan on the deadline day of last summer’s transfer window.

Since joining Everton at the start of the season, Kurt Zouma has developed into an important player for Everton.

In one of his recent interviews, Everton manager Marco Silva talked about the possibility of making Zouma’s loan deal permanent at Goodison Park and Sigurdsson echoes that as well.

Gylfi Sigurdsson wants to club to convince Kurt Zouma that his long-term future lies with the Blue half of Merseyside.

Zouma has been a stalwart in defense for an Everton side that are yet to concede a goal in the last four Premier League games at home.

Those four league games were against the teams in the top six like Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United.

Everton won the last three of those games after playing a goalless draw with Merseyside rivals Liverpool.
