Deal Close: Ex-Liverpool Striker Set To Join Chinese Club In £15m Deal THIS Summer

Crystal Palace striker Christian Benteke is closing in on a move away from the club this summer according to the publication from The Times.

It was revealed that a bid has been submitted for the Belgian international striker.

According to The Times, Chinese Super League outfit Shandong Luneng have submitted a £15m bid for Christian Benteke and that he’s on the verge of linking up with international teammate Marouane Fellaini at the club.

Ex-Manchester United midfielder Fellaini left the Red Devils to join Shandong Luneng in a £10m deal during the winter transfer window.

Christian Benteke has not had the best of times at Crystal Palace in the last two seasons and the Eagles are open to the sale of the former Aston Villa striker this summer.

The 28-year-old joined Crystal Palace in the summer of 2016 after just one season at Liverpool where he scored nine goals in 29 appearances in the Premier League.

Liverpool activated the £32.5m release clause in his then Aston Villa contract to sign him in 2015 before receiving an initial fee of £27m for his transfer to Crystal Palace with the possibility of getting £5m depending on add-ons.

Benteke has scored 12 goals in 34 appearances for Belgium since his debut in 2010.
