Ahead of their Sunday North London Derby against Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal, Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is worried over the fitness of oneof his influential player in the person of Mousa Dembele.
The midfielder was substituted with an ankle injury during their last Premier League outing against Crystal Palace on Wednesday, away from home.
Dembele was substituted at the first half of the game in their 1-0 win over Sam Allardyce’s side.
Prior to the 1-0 win at Selhurst Park, Chelsea extended their lead at the top of the premier league table by being seven points clear, after beating Southampton 4-2 at Stamford Bridge.
But Mauricio Pochettino’s side reduced the gap back to four points with their hard fought victory against a stubborn Crystal Palace side. The win translates into their eight win in a row in the premier league.
Chelsea will travel to Everton this weekend in their next premier league game, Tottenham are hosting London rival Arsenal at White Hart Lane.
And as things stands now, Spurs could be without Dembele after he was forced off during the break against Palace. Mousa has evolved into one of Spurs most reliable players this term.
The season is approaching it end in the English top flight, and after Chelsea brushed out Spurs from the FA Cup race, their remaining hope for a silverware this season is the premier league title.
