Deal Almost Done: Romelu Lukaku Set To Become Chelsea First Summer Signing

According to widespread claims, premier league champions Chelsea are almost done finalising Romelu Lukaku’s move from Everton this summer.

The 24-year-old has emerged as one of Chelsea’s major targets this summer, and the blues Italian boss Antonio Conte had already informed Diego Costa that he is free to leave the club.

Apart from Romelu Lukaku, another player close to a Stamford Bridge switch is Monaco defensive midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko.

Additionally, the trio of Marco Verratti, Leonardo Bonucci, and Alex Sandro remain on Antonio Conte’s wish list as the Italian boss remain keen on bolstering his squad ahead of a busy campaign next term.

According to The Mirror, the former Juventus manager is looking to add five players to his squad at Stamford Bridge this summer as he prepares for a Champions League campaign next term.

It was added that the Chelsea board are promising the manager huge funds to land his targets this summer as they looked to keep him out of the reaches of other clubs like Inter Milan.

Also, it is understood that Romelu Lukaku is set to be Chelsea’s first summer signing as the deal is almost completed.

Lukaku has been impressive at Goodison Park in recent times and has revealed his desire to play in the Champions League.
