One of the Arsenal players linked with moving away from the club anytime soon is German star Mesut Ozil.
The former Real Madrid midfielder has entered the final 12 months of his current contract at the Emirates and is still avoiding putting pen to paper for a new deal.
However, the Germany international has now dropped a very strong hint that he is set to commit his future to the gunners by admitting he cannot wait to link-up with new record signing Alexandre Lacazette.
Despite numerous speculations about his future, it appears Ozil is destined to stay in north London and he appears pleased with Arsene Wenger’s decision to bring in Lacazette from Lyon.
Ozil himself admits that he has been really looking forward to seeing Alexander at the Emirates because the Frenchman is a very good striker who has scored many goals in the Ligue 1 both in the just concluded season and in the previous ones.
‘I hope that he’ll be able to take us further with his goals. I’m sure he’s happy to be here and to be able to play with us, and we’re pleased to be able to assist him and help him to score as many goals as possible.’ Mesut told Arsenal Player.
Arsene Wenger remains adamant that despite the contract situations of Ozil and Alexis Sanchez, none of the duo will be sold this summer.
