Liverpool are plotting an improved £35million bid for Roma winger, Mohamed Salah, according to reports.

The English giants have been heavily linked with a move for Salah, with reports that they tabled a bid of around £28million for the player but was rejected by Roma who values him at a fee believed to be around £40million.

The former Chelsea forward who arrived at the Stamford for just £11million, has been a key figure at Roma where he arrived just last summer after failing to impress in the Premier League.

It is understood that Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is ready to bring in reinforcements to his forward line this summer after seeing his side fall like a pack of cards in the absence of Sadio Mane last January.

Reports in the Daily Mail have it that the Reds have resumed talks with the Serie A giants about the possibility of signing Salah for a fee believed to be around £35million which is just a few points less than Roma’s £40million valuation.

There are reports that Liverpool are ready to spend big this summer and have handed Klopp a huge transfer chest of around £150million to bring in new additions as they play in the Champions League next season.
