According to reports emanating from Italy, Liverpool are pondering a move to land Juventus legendary goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon in this summer transfer window.
Liverpool wants a new goalkeeper
Italian publication Premium Sport, as cited by the Daily Mirror, is claiming that Liverpool are keen on a switch to land the 40-year-old veteran goalkeeper as manager Jurgen Klopp looks for a new safe hand this summer transfer window.
There has been a lot of rumour about whether the Reds could move to sign in a fresh goalkeeper this summer transfer window amid Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius’s stuttering form.
However, Loris Karius has been in a better form recently and has been keeping Belgium international goalie Mignolet out of the first eleven at Anfield.
Liverpool set to sign Buffon
Notwithstanding, there is still rumour that the Reds could be in the market for a new goalkeeper this summer window, and Italy Veteran Buffon is being mentioned as a possible target.
The Merseysider’s are likely to be connected with a number of players in the coming weeks as Liverpool look to strengthen their team ahead of next term.
Liverpool finished in the fourth spot in the English Premier League this season to secure their spot in the UEFA Champions League for next term.
However, the team will be looking to build a team capable of winning the English Premier League season.
