According to Italian media reports, Arsenal are getting set to launch a summer swoop to land Paris Saint-Germain superstar Adrien Rabiot.
Rabiot frustrated in France
Italian publication Calciomercato, as cited by The Daily Mirror, is claiming that the PSG star is disillusioned with life at the French Ligue 1 club after a lack of regular playing time resulted in the player’s omission from France’s 23-man team for the FIFA World Cup in Russia.
The same report states new Arsenal boss Unai Emery could orchestrate a transfer move to land the 23-year-old star to strengthen his midfield line ahead of the 2017/18 campaign.
Rabiot set for Premier League move
As per the same report, Rabiot has a year remaining on his current deal with Paris Saint Germain which could widely open up the likelihood of a cut-price transfer deal in this summer’s window.
The PSG player netted a goal and provided five assists in 33 matches in the French League this term, while Rabiot scored one goal in eight UEFA Champions League fixtures.
Arsenal confirmed Unai Emery as their new boss on Wednesday after a week of rumour surrounding Wenger’s likely successor at the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal haven’t won the English Premier League title since their 2003-04 triumph when the London team became the first English team to finish a League season unbeaten.
