Being Chelsea’s club-record signing, all eyes are already on Alvaro Morata, monitoring every of his single steps at his new club.
Despite that he wasn’t given a start in Chelsea’s first two competitive games of the new season (against Arsenal and Burnley), the player is already feeling some heat, and there are speculations that he is unhappy with the pressure at Stamford Bridge.
And in a new interview, the former Real Madrid forward talked about why he made the tough decision to leave the Spanish capital for Chelsea this summer.
Last season, the Spanish striker largely warmed the bench in Zindedine Zidane’s team, and he now believes he is set to enhance his game at Stamford Bridge and is excited about what he can achieve here.
Alvaro told Chelsea magazine that he needed to make an explosion in his career, and according to him, he is in ‘the perfect club to do that’.
‘It’s the perfect situation. I decided to play in the [English] Premier League and desire to play in Conte’s team.’ he said
The 24-year-old is ready to work hard to become an iconic figure at Stamford Bridge.
‘Now I need work hard, score goals and play well for my team.’ he added.
The Spaniard will be hoping Conte will give him more chance when they will clash with Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley on Sunday.
