The Manchester United duo of Eric Bailly and Marcus Rashford have been linked with La Liga giants Barcelona.
British news outlet The Daily Star made it known that the club’s boss Ernesto Valverde is still keen on bringing new players into his team despite his side’s impressive performances so far this season.
The Catalan giants are said to have sent scouts to watch the pair play against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, and it appeared a positive report was brought back to Spain.
The Camp Nou club are said to be set to tempt Man United with a whopping €200 Million for both Bailly and Rashford, but the premier league heavyweights might be reluctant to let Marcos go.
Rashford came through the ranks at Old Trafford before making a splendid rise to the first team, while Baily started from the RCD Espanyol’s youth system when he moved to Europe at age 17 before he was signed by Villarreal in 2015.
He was impressive at the Spanish club and caught the attention of top sides including the red devils, who eventually paid £30M for his signature in the summer of 2016.
Barca were also heavily linked with Brazilian playmaker Philippe Coutinho during the past summer transfer window, but Liverpool failed to sell him despite the huge bids.
Manchester United is a big club without financial issues, and are unlikely to be blinded by big money.
They might perhaps sell Bailly so as to recoup some of the huge money spent during this summer, but Rashford, who is considered the future of Man United, is not going anywhere.
